Coast To Coast Motorhome Hire
Please take the time to read all our Terms and Conditions.
DATA PROTECTION:
Any personal information you give to us will be kept confidential by Coast To Coast Motorhome Hire and will only
be used by ourselves and our insurers in connection with your hire of a motorhome.
Your stories or pictures are most welcome, and can be sent to our Facebook page Coast To Coast Motorhome Hire
Peterhead, by doing this you are granting us permission to use such stories and pictures freely on our page or
otherwise for any other publications.
INSURANCE:
Fully comprehensive insurance for drivers is included in the hire cost, age restrictions for security deposit apply
below, all licences including additional drivers must be provided for a security check 2-3 weeks in advance of your
hire or they will be prohibited from driving.
Only drivers stated on the hire booking form will be covered by insurance.
Our insurer’s standard conditions require that:
BOOKING:
Bookings can be made by messenger, telephone, text, email, whats app and now our brand new Website
Payments can be made by bank transfer to BANK OF SCOTLAND sort code 800686 account number 10210065
using your hire date as a reference or by PayPal at accounts@pbpsevices again using your hire date as reference
Payment details will be issued to you upon booking along with a reference number and confirmation of your booking.
Bookings are not confirmed until a deposit has been received within 12 hours, or it will be deemed cancelled and void.
DEPOSIT:
Is non-refundable (depending on circumstances where proof will be required) or it will be transferred to an alternative date, a deposit of 25% of your hire value will be required within 12 hours of booking or your hire will be deemed cancelled until it is received.
BALANCE
The remaining balance of the hire charge must be paid 3 weeks prior to the start date of the hire, a friendly reminder
will be sent a week in advance. If booking is within 4 weeks of the hire period, the full amount will be due on booking.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit of £600 for age ( 23-26), £500 for age (27-75), £1000 for age (75-79) will apply and must be paid at least 2 days prior to hire commencing, again using the reference provided on booking for insurance excess, or your hire will not proceed as you will not be covered.
This will be returned to you in full within 7 days (please allow for this time in busy periods) from the hire finishing date subject only to the motorhome being returned in a satisfactory clean condition or charges will apply, also with no damages (or charges for replacements or repairs will apply, if lesser than the refundable security charge the difference will be refunded, or if greater than the excess the full amount will apply.
DRIVER CRITERIA:
1. All drivers must have held a full UK licence for a minimum of 2 years
2. All drivers must be aged between 23-79
3. 2 x 3 point convictions are acceptable (i.e. 2 x SP30,s, 3 points each) without referral.
Single convictions totalling 6 points+ will require referral
4. Drivers can have no more than one fault or outstanding incident/claim in the last 3 years.
It will greatly speed up the departure process for us to do the relevant checks if you can send copies or photos of
your license front and back for all drivers and must be from the following for the insurance to accept :- 1x primary
and 1x secondary, or 2x primary as proof of address by messenger, text, whats app or email, within 3-2 weeks of hire.
Primary Proof of Address:

- Water
- Gas
- Broadband/ Landline
- Council tax
- Tv Licence
- Bank Statement
- Credit Card Bill / Statement
- Mortgage Statement
- Polling Card
- HMRC self-assessment / Tax Credit
Secondary Proof of Address:
- Student loan
- Shotgun Licence
- Payslip
- Mobile Phone Bills
- Pension Letters
- Car Finance Statement
- Loan Statement
- Property Deed
- An annual council tax bill will be accepted. All other documents must be dated within 90 days of the hire
- The address and name on your licence must match all documents and be sent 2-3 weeks before your hire commences.
Any complications with licences, endorsements, ID proof not notified to us on time will render your booking void and the deposit non-refundable.
All licence endorsements must be notified at time of booking so that we can check our insurers will cover you. Any incurred between booking and the commencement of hire must be notified immediately as this may affect your permission to drive.
PERSONAL INSURANCE:
Personal items are not covered by our insurance and it is therefore advisory to have your own personal travel
insurance.
DRIViNG CRITERIA
Mileage Limit:
Mileage is limited to 1000 miles per hire, excess mileage is charged at 25p per mile thereafter, or if you suspect to use over the allowed mileage, a one-off payment may be agreed for payment before hire.
BREAKDOWN COVER:
Full breakdown cover is included in the hire. Should a breakdown or accident occur you must contact us immediately in the first instance with your destination and your issue on 07754477540 or 01346514056 to be given authority and details to contact the breakdown company.
GAS:
All motorhomes come supplied with 2 bottles of gas, one of these bottles will already be connected and may well have been partially used or full, the second bottle is full for replacing if required.
If a gas bottle does need to be replaced please keep the receipt to receive a full refund on your return, please note, up to a maximum of one gas bottle only will be refunded per hire.
ON RETURN:
In the event that the conditions are not acceptable, the following charges will apply:
Fridge/cupboards not emptied £30
Unclean bathroom £40
Unclean habitation area £50
Un-emptied toilet cassette £40
Traces of smoking, strictly prohibited £100
Pet hair etc deep cleaning charge £50
Fuel tank not full £15 charge + fuel cost to refill
If we are not notified on return of any damages/breakages that are found during the vehicle return inspection from your hire you will be charged accordingly with an administration fee of £20.
NOTIFICATIONS:
The Hirer:
Any parking, speeding or other actions that contravene the Road Traffic Act, that include but are not limited to bus lane contraventions, driving through traffic lights while they are at red or any other endorsable citation will be charged at £15 per contravention for administration purposes.
COLLECTION/RETURN
On your day of collection your motorhome will be ready from approximately 2-2.30pm unless otherwise agreed that it may be available for collection at an earlier time.
Again unless otherwise agreed our return time is an 11am deadline, it may be permitted on some occasions if a return is on a Sunday that a later evening time can be agreed for an extra charge of £60, otherwise any late return will incur a £50 per hour charge as we have a limited time to get the vans cleaned and safety checks done for the next departure, if due to any unforeseen circumstances you are going to be late on return unless otherwise agreed,
