What is provided with a motorhome rental?

All motorhomes come supplied with the following:

• Torch
• Gas and 1 full spare
• First aid kit
• Fire extinguisher and fire blanket
• Microwave
• Full kitchen dishes set
• Glasses
• Kettle (electric and gas), toaster
• TV (apart from the VW)
• Leisure battery and power cable
• Washing-up and cleaning essentials
• Outdoor table, chairs and windbreaker
• Bicycle racks on some motorhomes
• Levelling ramps
• Fuses for the fuse box
• Child bed safety gate available on request

Question 2

What is the cleaning policy for motorhome rentals?

Accepted Answer

All our motorhomes will be in an excellent clean condition and provided with a full tank of diesel. All we ask is that they are looked after as if they were your own and returned in a clean condition, with the toilet cassette waste tank emptied and cleaned, the grey water waste tank emptied, and the fuel tank refilled to full — or charges will be applied.

What are your collection and drop-off times?

Motorhome collection will be approximately 2:30pm, with an 11am drop-off on the day of return unless otherwise agreed by us. If you are going to be late, please contact us and advise us, as the motorhome you are hiring only has a limited turnaround before going out again. We can apply a charge of up to £50 per hour for late return, but we understand there can be unforeseen circumstances and will take this into consideration.

Question 4

What is covered under the insurance?

Accepted Answer

Fully comprehensive insurance for any driver is included in the hire; age restrictions for the security deposit apply below. All licences, including additional drivers, must be provided for a security check per driver or they will be prohibited from driving. Only drivers stated on the hire booking form will be covered.

Driver criteria:
• All drivers must have held a full UK licence for a minimum of 2 years
• All drivers must be aged between 25–79 (our Volkswagen T6 campervan is available to drivers aged 21–79)
• 2 x 3-point convictions are acceptable (e.g. 2 x SP30, 3 points each) without referral; single convictions totalling 6 points+ require referral
• Drivers can have no more than one fault or outstanding incident/claim in the last 3 years

To speed up departure, please send photos of your licence (front and back) for all drivers, plus proof of address (1 primary + 1 secondary, or 2 primary) by message or email.

Primary proof of address: electricity, water, gas, broadband/landline, council tax, TV licence, bank statement, credit card bill/statement, mortgage statement, polling card, HMRC self-assessment/tax credit.

Secondary proof of address: student loan, shotgun licence, payslip, mobile phone bills, pension letters, car finance statement, loan statement, property deed.

An annual council tax bill is accepted; all other documents must be dated within 90 days of the hire date. The address and name on your licence must match all documents and be sent 2 weeks before your hire commences. Any complications with licences, endorsements or ID proof not notified on time will render your booking void and the deposit non-refundable. All licence endorsements must be notified at time of booking; any incurred between booking and hire must be notified immediately.

Question 5

What happens if there is a breakdown?

Full breakdown cover is included in the hire. Should a breakdown or accident occur, you must contact us immediately in the first instance on 07503 152934 or 01346 514056 to be given authority and details to contact the breakdown company with your destination and your issue.

Question 6

What are your booking terms?

Accepted Answer

DEPOSIT — A non-refundable deposit of 25% of your balance (depending on circumstances it may be transferred to an alternative date) is required immediately for your booking, or your hire date will be deemed cancelled until it is received.

BALANCE — The remaining balance must be paid 3 weeks prior to the start date of the hire; a friendly reminder will be sent a week in advance. If booking within 4 weeks of the hire period, the full amount is due on booking.

SECURITY DEPOSIT — A security deposit of £500 (for drivers aged 25–79) applies and must be paid at least 2 weeks prior to hire commencing, for insurance excess, or your hire will not proceed. This is returned in full within 7 days of the hire finishing (longer in busy periods), subject only to the motorhome being returned undamaged and in a satisfactory clean condition, or charges will apply.

Online booking fee — A standard online booking fee of £1 per booking per day applies.
